We work full time, writing, directing and
editing a 30-minute Christian television program for children in Spanish. This
program airs in 57 countries including all of Mexico, Central and South America
U.S.A. and also into Spain. It is on the Enlace satellite feed which can also be
picked up in other parts of the world.
Our program is called "Enlazados con Jesus", which means, Linked up with Jesus. It
includes puppets, character dramas, scripture verses, clowns, stories, and
music.
We have heard from many children in many different countries that write or
e-mail our Club. We are able to read their mail on the program which everyone
loves. We receive feedback from mothers that say their children are learning so
much from the program, from teens that tell us "thanks" for keeping it so
simple, to grandparents and church leaders who have learned so much from our
simple down to earth illustrations and skits about the Word of God.
God opened this door for us over 6 years ago and this is how it happened:
"One day while watching a Christian TV program for children, the Holy
Spirit spoke to me and said, "That's what I want you to do!" I
immediately said, "Yes!" But I was thinking that this would be a goal
we could achieve in about five years or so - after having learned a bit
more Spanish. After three weeks passed, the Holy Spirit spoke to me
again and said, "Call the Station!" But again, I reasoned within
myself, "I guess I am to find out the cost of a 30-minute program so we
can start raising the needed money." I called and they asked to meet with me to
discuss it. I met with a man for approximately four hours and explained to him
our vision to raise up a team of nationals that could reach their own people. I
explained how nationals could impact their nation with the gospel and that I
knew where we were to be and what we wanted to do - but we didn't know how to do
it. This man informed him that he was the president of the station and he would
show us how to reach children in various nations for Jesus!. I left there that
day with the opportunity to have a 30-minute program that would air every
Saturday. God had just show us how and when - this was a huge door that God
opened."
